Cleft lip and cleft palate deformities often make children feel insecure and inferior. Understanding this, Mega Market Vietnam and its partners, including Number One Manufacturing & Trading Company Limited, have supported surgery costs for children through Operation Smile Vietnam with total amount of 140 million VND.
According to statistics from Operation Smile Vietnam, Vietnam is currently one of the countries with the highest rate of children with cleft lip and cleft palate deformities in the world. Every year, it is estimated that 3,000 children are born with this deformity and currently there are about 10,000 children have not had surgery. Although the deformity is not life-threatening but it has a significant impact on the daily life, health and psychological well-being of the children. Cleft lip and palate surgeries will help bring smiles and brighter futures to the children affected.
Established in 1989, Operation Smile has provided free examination and treatment services to more than 66,000 Vietnamese children with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities, helping them live more fulfilling lives. The organization is also a place that connects millions of good-hearted medical volunteers, sponsors, and businesses across Vietnam and the world, contributing to bringing a better future for children and the wider community.
MM Mega Mart Vietnam and business partners together present 140 million VND to Operation Smile Vietnam
Touched and appreciative of Operation Smile Vietnam’s mission, MM Mega Market Vietnam Company and its strategic partners recently sponsored the Organization with 140 million VND to bring bright smiles to less fortunate children affected by the deformities.
One of the partners participating in this community project with MM Mega Market Vietnam is Number One Trading & Manufacturing Company Limited. MM Mega Market Vietnam and Number One Trading & Manufacturing Company Limited started strategic partnership since March 2024. In addition to the goal of bringing healthy beverage products closer to consumers, Number One also wishes to partner with Mega Market in many community projects, fulfilling its social responsibilities. This is part of the core values that the two company share when joining hands in business cooperation.

On July 19, representatives of Operation Smile Vietnam also received financial contribution from MM Mega Market Vietnam and ít partners. The Organization’s representative also expressed gratitude to all the companies that have contributed to bringing smiles and better futures to less fortunate children. The total amount of funding will directly contribute to the surgical costs for 14 Vietnamese children with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities.
