Formerly a small company in Mülheim an der Ruhr (Germany), Brenntag is now one of the leading raw material and additive distribution groups, making important contributions to many industries in Europe and the world over.
Vietnam gradually becomes an important “link” in Brenntag’s strategy to expand its market to Asia. After only two years of expanding into Asia, Brenntag officially set foot in Vietnam through the establishment of Brenntag Vietnam Co., Ltd.
The young and dynamic population structure and stable politics have made Vietnam an important “link” in Brenntag’s development strategy. |
“Stable social politics, potential market, easy access to new trends, and willingness to change to emerge in Asia and the world” are the kind words said by Brenntag representatives when asked about the reason why they are interested in the Vietnamese market.
Brenntag currently has more than 580 offices in 76 countries, markets 10,000 products and global distribution facilities, and a network of over 170,000 customers. With a workforce of more than 16,600 employees, Brenntag reached US$14.8 billion in revenue in 2018. |
After a decade, Brenntag earned “sweet fruits” which have proven the accuracy of the global giant’s move. Brenntag Vietnam Co., Ltd. has achieved rapid growth of more than 300% in the last 10 years. Besides basic industries such as food, cosmetics, paint, plastics, agriculture, and textile dyeing, Brenntag Vietnam has expanded to many other essential consumer goods industries such as pharmaceuticals, lubricant distribution, and basic chemicals.
Though it had just arrived in Vietnam nearly 30 years ago, Brenntag has cooperated with Vietnamese businesses such as Tan Hiep Phat to develop healthy beverage products. |
Though arriving in Vietnam in 2010, Brenntag had opportunities to cooperate with Vietnamese businesses several decades ago, the earliest being Tan Hiep Phat. Since 1995, the two sides have joined hands in providing food additives, technological solutions, and exchanging market information. Even at the early stage, with their principles, the duo has continuously introduced new product trends to develop together and emerge in Asia and the world.
The cooperation with Tan Hiep Phat, as well as many other Vietnamese businesses, has given Brenntag a good view of the Vietnamese business community.
Tan Hiep Phat is one of the first businesses in Vietnam to cooperate with Brenntag to develop beverage products, enhancing Vietnamese products’s position in the international market. |
“They are incredibly dynamic, creative, and consistently pioneering in finding new directions to enhance Vietnamese products’ position in the international market. The fact that they constantly develop their businesses and strengthen cooperation with each other creates synergy, contributing to raising Vietnamese businesses’ position,” said a representative of Brenntag.
He emphasized that the spirit of sharing, accompanying the country, overcoming difficulties, self-reliance, mutual support, striving to flexibly adapt to maintain production, and creating jobs are important driving forces to boost Vietnam’s economy.
Both Tan Hiep Phat and Brenntag Vietnam Co., Ltd. aim to develop healthy beverage products that meet international standards. |
Brenntag believes that its cooperation with Tan Hiep Phat over the past nearly 30 years has marked a great development for both Tan Hiep Phat Company and Brenntag Vietnam Company Limited, especially when they both build and provide healthy, high-quality products according to modern and sustainable development trends.
“They (Tan Hiep Phat) always think big. They took the initiative to invest in new technology and modern technical solutions to offer the best quality products to serve Vietnamese consumers. Their products, such as Number One Energy Drink, Zero Degree Green Tea, Dr Thanh Tea… are national brands that even surpass other global labels,” the Brenntag representative added.
Brenntag highly appreciates the quality of Tan Hiep Phat’s products, such as Dr. Thanh Herbal Tea and Zero Degree Green Tea, not only in Vietnam but also in the international market. |
Tan Hiep Phat is the first and only beverage manufacturing enterprise in Vietnam to own up to 12 Aseptic cold extraction technology lines developed by GEA Group (Germany) with a total value of over USD 300 million. Each line can produce 48,000 bottles/hour, providing up to 100 million barrels (nearly a billion liters of beverage) per year.
Using Aseptic cold extraction technology and the most rigorous quality management system is what Brenntag sees and appreciates at Tan Hiep Phat in its efforts to develop and provide products of international quality for consumers. |
Brenntag acknowledges and appreciates Tan Hiep Phat’s use of natural solutions that are beneficial to health and responsible to the social community through the most rigorous quality management systems.
Regarding Brenntag’s development strategy in Vietnam in the coming time, the group’s representative said that with the investment in the construction and ongoing operation of the nutritional solution factory in Amata industrial park and projects in other provinces, new cooperation opportunities between Brenntag and Tan Hiep Phat Company and other Vietnamese businesses will be opened up.
Tan Hiep Phat’s beverage products are preserved and stored at the factory warehouse before reaching consumers. |
“We, Brenntag Vietnam Co., Ltd. will accompany Tan Hiep Phat to maintain the leading position in Vietnam’s beverage industry, expanding production of other food products while constantly improving and renovating quality, striving to emerge in Asia and the world,” he stated.
